C-flex Advance Aspheric IOL

rayner.com.

Rayner Intraocular Lenses, Ltd., launched its first preloaded IOL, the C-flex Advance Aspheric, at the annual meeting of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) in Amsterdam. According to the company, the C-flex Advance Aspheric combines the clinically proven benefits of the aberration- neutral C-flex Aspheric IOL with a minimal-touch injection technique. Delivery through a 2.2-mm incision reduces the risk of damage to the lens due to handling or incorrect insertion into a cartridge. The C-flex Advance Aspheric IOL is available in powers from 8.00 to 34.00 D in 0.50 D increments.

AcuTarget HD

acufocus.com.

The AcuTarget HD (AcuFocus, Inc.) is a diagnostic and surgical planning instrument designed to optimize clinical outcomes within a cataract and refractive practice. AcuFocus developed the AcuTarget HD in collaboration with Visiometrics to combine the technologies of the original AcuTarget Diagnostic device and Visiometrics’ HD Analyzer. According to the company, the AcuTarget HD offers a broader range of functionality than its predecessor by combining five diagnostic tools into one state-of-the-art instrument. This device provides an objective assessment of overall visual quality pre- and postoperatively. It monitors tear-film quality over time, measures depth of focus, assesses targeted versus achieved inlay placement, and can enhance patient understanding and commitment to postoperative care. The AcuTarget HD is also useful in determining centration for inlay, IOL, and LASIK procedures.
