The OA-2000 (Tomey) is easy to use and handle. With its fully automated alignment and tracking platform, measurements can be performed within 1 to 3 seconds, and quality measurements, such as signal-to-noise ratio, are displayed for all distances.
In my practice, we use the OA-2000 for biometric measurement of ocular distances (axial length, corneal pachymetry, anterior chamber depth, and lens thickness) as well as for corneal topography in cataract patients.
The device's integrated corneal topographer provides complementary data to the clinician for planning cataract surgery in all types of patients, even for those undergoing implantation of a toric, aspheric, or customized IOL. The OA-2000 also ensures that the postoperative outcome is safe and predictable.
