All articles published in Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today Europe are reviewed by our Chief Medical Editor or our Associate Medical Editor, who have sole discretion to accept, reject, or edit any article submitted for consideration. All articles must be original in form and substance, and author warrants the article has not been published elsewhere, and does not contain material that infringes or violates any personal or intellectual property rights of others.

Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today Europe’s editorial style is based on the American Medical Association Manual of Style, 10th Edition All submissions should adhere to this style. All articles must have the following elements: Headline, byline, subheads, figure captions (see below, figure references in text, author information (see below).
Unless otherwise agreed to by our Editor-in-Chief, articles shall be approximately 1500-2000 words in length.
Author information must include: author’s full names, academic degrees, affiliations, and contact information (preferably email address). Photos of authors should be included with the submission for use in the author information section.
With each submission, Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today Europe requires that authors list financial relationships (including but not limited to employment, contract work, stock ownership, honoraria, paid testimony) or other conflicts of interest that would jeopardize the credibility of works published in Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today Europe.
Artwork and figures may be submitted in digital or original form. Digital files can be sent in JPEG, TIFF, or EPS format, and should be approximately 300 dpi at 4 inches wide. If sending via e-mail, JPEG images are preferred. Original slides and photos are also acceptable. Please be sure to indicate number and orientation of image.
Artwork must be accompanied by legends and referenced within the text of the manuscript. All permissions for previously published artwork must be obtained prior to submission.
The author is responsible for the accuracy of references. References should be typed at the end of the manuscript and listed in the order in which they appear in the text (not alphabetically). They must be formatted according to AMA Manual if Style, 10th Edition. Unpublished data (papers submitted but not yet accepted for publication, personal communications) should be cited parenthetically in the text.
All authors will receive specific deadlines for submission and reviews of draft and layouts.
