Tan EndoGlide

The Tan EndoGlide (Network Medical Products Ltd., North Yorkshire, United Kingdom) is an endothelial insertion system for use in Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK) and Descemet’s stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK). According to company literature, the device is designed to deliver a donor lenticule through a small incision with minimal endothelial loss and to protect the donor tissue from the wound margins. It consists of a preparation base, a glide cartridge, and a glide introducer, and the oval diameter of the device fits through a 4.5-mm scleral or corneal wound. The integral glide platform is designed for ease of insertion without iris prolapse. The cartridge, which can hold a donor lenticule of up to 250 μm in thickness, is transparent for good visualization, allowing the surgeon full control of all stages of the insertion procedure. Each Tan EndoGlide is supplied sterile for single use only.
