Wet-Field osher thermodot Marker
Developed in conjunction with Robert H. Osher, MD, the Osher ThermoDot Marker (Beaver-Visitec International) is an intraoperative bipo- lar instrument designed to create an ink-free fine dot on the eye that can be used as a precise reference point for a variety of procedures, including astig- matic keratotomy and toric IOL implantation. According to company literature, the clearly visible dot does not smear and lasts the dura- tion of surgery, and its unique curve facilitates a perpendicular approach. No additional discomfort is experienced by the patient.
