TrueWare 7.0
TrueWare 7.0 (TrueVision Systems, Inc., Santa Barbara, California) is imaging software that manages TrueVision's 3D high-definition (HD) visualization system for microsurgery and connects other OR devices into a unified visualization system. According to company literature, new software features include TrueZoom 3D Surgical Camera control, a fully stereoscopic 3D multiwindow portal, 3D HD video recording and playback, the ability to integrate external data (ie, phaco, patient data, navigation), multiple 3D 1080 pixel display options, and improved color and contrast control.

Brightness Acuity Meter
The Brightness Acuity Meter (BAM; AMA Optics, Inc., Miami Beach, Florida) is an ophthalmic instrument used for measuring the effect of glare on visual function. The BAM is lightweight and ergonomically designed for ease of patient use. According to company literature, the instrument's purpose is to diagnose and assess visual problems due to glare conditions, document the degree of disability, and monitor severity over time.
